Assassin's Creed Reveals Bizarre AoT Event for Holiday Season
In a unexpected partnership that defies traditional expectations, Ubisoft has revealed an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the renowned anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising Thanksgiving event runs from November 25 through December 22, including no-cost extra story content for Shadows players.
Mysterious Questline Revealed
According to the formal release, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of forbidden rituals and fearsome changes echo through the shadows." The plot presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the characters with venturing into the Crystal Cave—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a secret cult.
The mission centers on "peculiar experiments and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.
Familiar Places and Changes
The trailer features the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan reimagined as the Crystal Cave. This important location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through generations. The trailer concludes with a dramatic moment showing a character, presumably the captive, changing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who accomplish the quest will receive an unique katana in addition to multiple objects secreted throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also features purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
